Twenty‑two‑year‑old Storm Stacey will line up for Batham’s Racing at the North West 200 in May, the first time he tackles a road race at 200 mph in Northern Ireland. Known for his signature top hat, the young rider uses the eccentric headwear to spark conversations about mental health, a cause close to him after his father’s suicide when Stacey was 13.

He first rode a bike at three, inherited a 1966 Mustang and a varied classic car collection from his dad, and turned to racing as a lifeline. A gamble by his mother funded a 2019 season that nearly won the British Superstock 600 title, earning him a seat in the British Superbike series in 2020. Stacey’s first BSB victory arrived in 2024.

Stacey admits nerves accompany both the North West 200 debut and his BSB campaign, but he views anxiety as fuel. He hopes his visible advocacy will shift the male mindset on discussing emotions, insisting his inbox is always open for anyone battling similar demons. His presence at the race will be a blend of speed and a message about resilience.
