Callum Simpson reclaimed the British and Commonwealth super‑middleweight titles with a unanimous decision over Troy Williamson in Leeds. The 29‑year‑old, now under new trainer Rob Mc Cracken, knocked Williamson with a big right in the third round. Williamson, 34, survived the first seven rounds and landed a jab in the eighth, then pushed for a knock‑out in the final round – but the comeback was not enough. Judges scored 116‑112, 117‑112 and 115‑113 for Simpson. The win lifts his record to 19 wins and 1 loss.

Simpson said, “It feels amazing…I didn’t want it to be that exciting, but Troy is a tough fighter.” He revealed he had perforated both eardrums in their first fight, yet he returned stronger. Promoter Ben Shalom called the bout “unbelievable” and said Simpson is back in world‑title contention, hoping for a shot in the next 12 months.
