Britain's Neil Simpson fell just short of defending his Winter Paralympic super G title, finishing fourth in Cortina. The 23-year-old, who made history four years ago as Britain's first Winter Paralympic gold medalist, acknowledged "a couple of mistakes" cost him a podium finish. Switching guides from brother Andrew to Rob Poth, Simpson finished 1.1 seconds off the pace on the challenging Tofane piste.

Fellow British skier Menna Fitzpatrick, the nation's most decorated Winter Paralympian with six medals, returned from injury to finish sixth in the women's visually impaired super G. The 27-year-old overcame a broken leg and ACL tear without surgery to compete, showing confidence after her first appearance at these Games.

In curling action, Great Britain suffered a narrow 7-6 defeat to South Korea in the mixed team event. The British team made a mid-match substitution with alternate Graeme Stewart replacing Hugh Nibloe and Stewart Pimblett taking on skip duties. Despite leading at one stage, Britain could not hold on in their fourth round-robin match.
