Saracens has issued a firm denial following reports that it offered Ireland head coach Andy Farrell a lucrative coaching role for after the 2027 Rugby World Cup. The club called the claims "disrespectful" and stated no offer has been made, refuting a suggested deal worth more than £1m per year.

Farrell has a long history with the club, having played for Saracens between 2005 and 2009 before beginning his coaching career there. He is now the highly successful Ireland head coach, having led the team to a Six Nations Grand Slam in 2023 and the championship title in 2024. His son, Owen Farrell, rejoined the club last summer.

The club's statement criticized the reporting as "misguided" and disrespectful to Brendan Venter, who will assume the director of rugby role from Mark McCall at the end of the 2025-26 season. Saracens maintain Farrell has not discussed his future with any board member and clarified that, while he is welcome to attend matches, no contractual approach occurred.
