Former India coach Rahul Dravid says he remains open to coaching roles despite becoming a co-owner of the Dublin Guardians in the inaugural European T20 Premier League (ETPL). The 53-year-old, who coached India from 2021 to 2024, told BBC Sport he would be keen to continue coaching if "good opportunities come up."

Dravid noted that the ETPL takes place for only a month, which frees up much of the year. While he is committed to the league, he is open to exciting opportunities on the coaching side of things.

Meanwhile, England are searching for a new Test coach after sacking Brendon McCullum, aiming to appoint a successor before a series against Pakistan starting 19 August. The ETPL is scheduled from 26 August to 20 September in The Hague and Dublin, potentially creating a dilemma should Dravid emerge as a contender for the England role.

During his tenure with India's Test side, Dravid won 14 and lost seven of his 24 matches, guiding the team to the 2023 World Test Championship final. His most recent role was head coach of Rajasthan Royals for the 2025 IPL.
