Punjab Kings pulled off the highest successful run-chase in T20 cricket history, hunting down 265 to beat Delhi Capitals by seven wickets at Arun Jaitley Stadium. They crossed the line with seven balls to spare, surpassing their own previous best of 262 against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024.

KL Rahul had struck an unbeaten 152 - the highest score by an Indian in IPL - as Delhi reached 264-2 batting first. Punjab's openers then exploded, with Prabhsimran Singh hitting 76 from just 26 balls and Priyansh Arya scoring 43 off 17, sharing a 126-run stand. The visitors reached 116-0 in the powerplay - the second-highest in tournament history. Captain Shreyas Iyer finished unbeaten on 71 from 36 balls.

The record win was overshadowed by a frightening injury to Delhi's Lungi Ngidi, who was rushed to hospital in an ambulance after falling backwards and hitting his head while attempting a catch. Play was stopped for 15 minutes.

Unbeaten Punjab remain top of the table with 13 points from seven matches, three ahead of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals. Delhi sit sixth with six points.
