Leicester delivered a statement victory over Premiership leaders Northampton, running in six tries in a dominant 39-5 win at Mattioli Woods Welford Road. The hosts raced out of the blocks after Saints lost Tom Lockett in the warm-up, with returning second row Martin scoring his first try in two years on his first start of the season.

Northampton's difficulties deepened when Callum Chick was sin-binned in only the seventh minute for repeated early infringements.
