Former supermarket delivery driver Joe Dean fired a bogey-free nine-under-par 63 to win the British Masters at The Belfry, claiming his first DP World Tour victory in his 70th event. The 32-year-old Englishman, ranked 292nd in the world, collected about £440,000 in prize money, more than he had earned in his previous 19 tournaments in the 2026 season. Dean started Sunday seven shots behind leader Dan Hillier and made a move with four birdies in his opening six holes, finishing at 14 under par to win by three strokes.

His victory caps a busy summer that included winning the Last Chance Qualifier during Open Championship week and marrying his wife Emily, who caddied for him. The tournament was disrupted by stormy conditions, losing more than nine hours of play on Thursday and Friday. Marco Penge led after round two with a 65 and held a one-stroke lead with nine holes remaining, but bogeys on the 11th and 17th cost him the title.

Dan Hillier, the 2023 champion, finished with a double-bogey six on the sixth and a one-over 73, joining Niklas Norgaard, Jacob Skov Olesen, and Nacho Elvira in second place at 11 under. The event was the first in the race to qualify for the 2026 Ryder Cup in Ireland.
