Marco Penge leads by two shots midway through the second round of the rain-affected Husqvarna British Masters after another day of stormy weather at The Belfry. After three suspensions of play on Thursday delayed the first round, play restarted early Friday in Sutton Coldfield with half the field resuming opening rounds and the other half starting theirs. Play continued until 2.29pm when it was suspended for thunder and lightning, causing a two-hour and 11-minute delay before resuming.

Penge completed 32 holes on Friday, shooting a three-under 69 in the first round and then eagleing the 10th after driving the 302-yard hole. He bogeyed the 13th but birdied the 14th, 16th, and 17th to go out in 32, then added birdies at the first, second, third, and fifth holes before play was suspended at 7.50pm. Penge leads New Zealand's Daniel Hillier by two shots, with England's Matthew Jordan tied for third on seven under.

Organisers confirmed play will resume Saturday at 7.30am, with round three starting no earlier than 4pm via a two-tee start. Live coverage continues exclusively on Sky Sports Golf from 9.30am Saturday.
