Ireland make four changes for Six Nations Triple Crown clash

Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has made four changes for Saturday's Six Nations Triple Crown decider against Scotland in Dublin. James Ryan has been ruled out with a calf injury, with Joe McCarthy returning to partner Tadhg Beirne in the second row. Hooker Dan Sheehan and flanker Josh van der Flier also return to the pack as Ronan Kelleher and Nick Timoney drop to the bench.

Tommy O'Brien comes in on the left wing, replacing Jacob Stockdale. O'Brien impressed after stepping in for injured James Lowe during Ireland's thumping win over England, though Stockdale had been preferred for last week's victory over Wales. The Leinster player can also cover the right wing.

Ireland must beat Scotland to keep their title hopes alive before leaders France face England in Paris later that day. Victory would also secure Ireland's fourth Triple Crown in five years and deny Scotland their first since 1990. Scotland have made three changes of their own, with Max Williamson and Grant Gilchrist forming a new-look second row and Zander Fagerson returning at tight-head prop.
