Hull FC had led 10-6 at halftime through tries from Joe Batchelor and Davy Litten, with Litten adding a second after the break. However, Huddersfield rallied in the second half. The win, following a recent breakthrough at York, sees the Giants move to within two points of Hull FC on the table. Hull FC's losing streak now stands at seven games.

Huddersfield head coach Jim Lenihan acknowledged his team didn't play perfectly but praised their fight and belief. "We're certainly a team that's turned a corner a little bit," he stated. Conversely, Hull FC interim coach Andy Last expressed disappointment with the loss, citing discipline and cheap penalties as major issues.
