Formula 1 has secured a long-term extension for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, keeping the race on the calendar until at least 2037. Formula 1's willingness to invest its own money proved critical in convincing the city to allow the event to run down the Strip in front of the famous casino hotels, transforming a previously unprofitable weekend into one of the city's most lucrative periods.

The economic impact has been substantial. Since 2023, the grand prix has delivered $3.2bn in cumulative economic impact for Las Vegas, with the 2025 race alone generating $43m in tax revenue. This financial success solidified the partnership and demonstrated the event's value to both F1 and the city's economy during what had traditionally been a slow tourism period.

Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, called the extension "a major moment for both Las Vegas and the grand prix." In just three years, the race has become a signature global event, putting the city at the center of culture, competition, and entertainment during race week as the world's spotlight turns to Nevada.
