Bryson DeChambeau has stated he will prioritise his YouTube channel over a potential return to the PGA Tour if LIV Golf fails, following Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund announcement it would cut funding to the breakaway league after the 2026 season. The 2023 US Open champion, speaking to ESPN, revealed his plans to grow his channel with 2.69 million subscribers "three times, maybe even more."

The PIF's decision came as a complete shock to DeChambeau, who claims he was told just months ago that LIV Golf had financing secured until 2032. "I was completely shocked. I didn't expect it to happen," he said. The California-native admitted he has received no communication about the change in direction, with his LIV Golf contract ending after this season.

DeChambeau also expressed frustration at the prospect of facing punishments and fines to rejoin the PGA Tour, calling it "unfortunate" considering what he believes he could bring to the tour. He remains confident his team franchises could sell for around $200m (£147m) and suggested all parties need to lower their guards to determine what's best for the game of golf.
