Former Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones is reportedly set to join the Ospreys' board of directors. This move comes as the Ospreys organization undergoes significant changes ahead of the 2026-27 season. The club has been critical of the Welsh Rugby Union's (WRU) proposed four-team model, advocating for it as the optimal structure.

Following a season playing in Bridgend, the Ospreys will return to a redeveloped St Helen's ground, a project undertaken in partnership with Swansea Council. Their home fixtures in the United Rugby Championship (URC) will commence with matches against Dragons on October 24, followed by a derby against Cardiff.

Despite losing Welsh captains Dewi Lake and Jac Morgan to Gloucester, the Ospreys have been active in recruitment. New signings include Welsh back Tom Rogers from Scarlets, and Australians Liam Wright, Lawson Creighton, and Lalakai Foketi, with winger Marika Koroibete also expected to join. This comes after a period of uncertainty last season, stemming from the owners' failed attempt to acquire Cardiff.
