Poland and England currently lead the chase for two extra Champions League spots for the 2026-27 season. UEFA's European Performance Spots (EPS) are awarded to the two nations with the highest average points from European competition, calculated by dividing a country's total points by its number of participating teams.

England, with nine clubs in Europe, sits second behind Poland, which has three teams remaining. Recent results saw Arsenal and Tottenham win, narrowing the gap, while German clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund both lost. Spain also closed in on Italy for the top six positions.

The final standings will determine which nations get the coveted bonus qualification slots. For the upcoming 2025-26 season, England and Spain earned the extra places, granting entry to Newcastle and Athletic Club. The race continues every matchday across the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
