Liverpool midfielder Sofie Lundgaard, 24, has completed a permanent transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt for an undisclosed fee. The player joined Liverpool in January 2023 but faced injuries, including an anterior cruciate ligament injury and fractured ankle, limiting her to 42 appearances. She previously played for Danish club Fortuna Hjorring.

Elsewhere, Birmingham City’s bid for Gambia winger Fatou Kanteh was rejected by Sevilla. The club offered around 100,000 Euros (£85,000), but Sevilla values her higher. Kanteh, 29, has 12 goals in 63 matches for Sevilla, having played in Spain’s Liga F for her career. Birmingham are unlikely to pursue another bid.

Kanteh’s career includes stints at Villarreal, Huelva, and Logrono. Her rejection highlights ongoing competition for top players in women’s football.
