Sevilla are close to completing a £7.9m transfer for Scotland Under-21 striker Robbie Ure from Swedish club IK Sirius. The 22-year-old is scheduled for a medical at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium on Monday and is expected to sign a five-year contract.

Ure has attracted interest across Europe after a prolific season, scoring 20 goals and providing three assists in 20 matches across all competitions. He began his career at Rangers before moving to Anderlecht in 2023, but it’s in Sweden where he’s flourished, netting 31 goals and adding seven assists in 50 appearances since joining Sirius last year.

His 15 league goals have helped IK Sirius top the Allsvenskan table with a 13-point lead at the midway point. Ure, who is also eligible for Ukraine, previously expressed his desire to wait for a call-up to the Scotland national team.
