Scotland's head coach Steve Clarke has officially chosen Charlotte FC's training ground in North Carolina as the national team's base camp for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The decision, confirmed by BBC Scotland, follows extensive searches across the East Coast of the United States. Clarke's former Kilmarnock midfielder and Scotland assistant, Gary Dicker, revealed the selection process involved evaluating numerous facilities, with Charlotte emerging as the optimal choice due to its central location and proximity to both of Scotland's group-stage match cities, Boston and Miami. The Atrium Health Performance Park in Charlotte, home to the MLS side, offers state-of-the-art amenities including four grass pitches, multiple meeting rooms, and advanced recovery facilities, positioning it as one of the best facilities in the MLS according to Dicker.

This setup aims to provide Scotland's squad with the "best possible conditions" for their first World Cup appearance since 1998.
