Derek McInnes demanded a response after Rangers' 2-2 draw with Dundee and received an emphatic 4-0 victory over St Johnstone. The match stats highlighted Rangers' dominance with 4.57 expected goals to St Johnstone's 0.58, 21 shots on goal and eight big chances created. Kelsy's second goal came from a corner - the first Rangers have scored from a set-piece this season - adding new strings to their bow.
Halliday noted the team's set-piece delivery has been poor this year, but today's performance showed their potential. McInnes felt it was 'as good as we've been for a while' and praised their strikers' form, setting up nicely for Wednesday's crucial Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts at Tynecastle. The Rangers manager is returning to Tynecastle for the first time since moving from Gorgie to Govan in the summer, acknowledging the difficulty of the fixture while expressing confidence in their current form.
