Police Scotland have made six more arrests related to fan disorder during the Rangers vs Celtic Scottish Cup quarter-final at Ibrox. The men, aged 59, 45, 43, 40, 23 and 18, face charges including assault, culpable and reckless conduct, and breach of the peace. These arrests bring the total number of detentions to 37 following disturbances after the match's final whistle.

The six individuals will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court as Police Scotland continues appealing to the public for help identifying people in CCTV images. Chief Constable Jo Farrell criticized how Scottish football's governing bodies often shrug off fan disorder. She emphasized that clubs whose supporters cause trouble should face tougher sanctions.

This incident represents one of several cases of crowd trouble in Scottish football this year. The mounting arrests highlight ongoing issues with fan behavior at high-profile matches between the Old Firm rivals. Police enforcement combined with potential sanctions from governing bodies may form part of a strategy to address persistent problems in Scottish football's fan culture.
