Premier League Predictions: Sutton Backs City to Beat Burnley

Chris Sutton has predicted Manchester City will win 4-0 at Burnley on Wednesday, a result that would lift Pep Guardiola's side to the top of the Premier League for the first time since 21 August. City head to Turf Moor full of confidence after beating Arsenal on Sunday, and Sutton expects them to boost their goal difference against a Clarets side he believes are destined for relegation despite being mathematically not yet down.

Sutton predicts Brighton will also take points from Chelsea at the Amex Stadium, forecasting a 1-1 draw. The Blues have lost five consecutive league games without scoring and their season is heading the same way as their infamous 1912 campaign. Manager Liam Rosenior has owner backing but faces mounting pressure, with fans protesting before Saturday's defeat by Manchester United. A sixth-place finish could still secure Champions League football if Aston Villa win the Europa League.

Bournemouth host Leeds in what Sutton calls a "close" affair, with the Cherries in brilliant form and having already appointed Marco Rose as next season's manager. Leeds are in decent shape after back-to-back wins but remain not mathematically safe. Sutton predicts Bournemouth 2-1 Leeds, while guest predictor Alfie Watts goes for 3-1 to the home side.
