Dundee United have sold striker Nikolaj Moller to Norwegian club Sandefjord less than six months after his arrival, ending a brief spell at Tannadice. The 23-year-old Swede joined the Scottish Premiership side for free from Swiss outfit St Gallen in August but managed just one goal in 20 appearances.

Manager Jim Goodwin initially praised Moller's "terrific physical profile" when he arrived, but the forward struggled for consistent playing time. His solitary goal came in a Scottish Cup victory over Ayr United, and he started only seven matches during his time at the club. United have now accepted an undisclosed fee for the striker who leaves before completing even half of his initial two-year contract.

Moller returns to Norway after previously spending time on loan at Stromsgodset. The former Arsenal, Bologna and Malmo youth player has joined Sandefjord who finished fifth in the Eliteserien last season. Sporting director Matteus Bardsen highlighted his physical attributes, stating "the potential is indisputable" as Moller expressed happiness to be back in Norway with goals and assists his target.
