Crystal Palace have secured the signing of England Under-23s striker Lexi Lloyd-Smith on a three-year contract. The 23-year-old was the top scorer in WSL2 last season, remarkably scoring 23 goals in 48 appearances for Bristol City.

Lloyd-Smith will make her debut in the top flight with Crystal Palace, who earned promotion back to the Women's Super League after finishing as runners-up in the second tier. Palace manager Jo Potter praised Lloyd-Smith as a "real talent" who demonstrated her capabilities in WSL2.

Returning to her south London origins, Lloyd-Smith expressed her pride in representing her hometown, stating, "I know I'm going to be playing for something more now – my roots, where I'm from. I'll always be proud to be from Peckham. It means everything." Her signing follows that of Bethany England, signaling a strong summer of recruitment for Palace as they prepare for their WSL return.
