Crystal Palace has secured the services of Celta Vigo defender Oscar Mingueza on a free transfer, signing the 27-year-old Spaniard to a four-year contract. This move marks the first summer acquisition for new head coach Pierre Sage.

Mingueza, a product of Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, brings considerable experience, having made 66 appearances for Barcelona after his senior debut in 2020. He later transitioned to Celta Vigo in 2022, where he contributed significantly with seven goals and 15 assists in 147 appearances.

While Mingueza has earned four caps for Spain, he was notably omitted from the squad for the upcoming World Cup. His arrival at Selhurst Park adds depth and versatility to Palace's defense, impacting their setup for the upcoming season.
