Seven Chelsea academy players have joined the first-team for their pre-season tour under new boss Xabi Alonso. The squad is training in Australia and will face the Western Sydney Wanderers and Tottenham. These young talents have already featured in behind-closed-doors friendlies.

Among those looking to impress is Landon Emenalo, 18, who has reportedly played the most minutes and filled the left-back void. Calvin Diakite, 17, is a young, athletic defender compared to Marc Guehi. Center-back Tayo Subuloye, 18, captained the U18s to a national final victory.

Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli, 16, has impressed Alonso with his dynamic play and is seen as a future prospect. Midfielder Reggie Watson, 16, son of Ben Watson, brings physicality and a goal threat. Reggie Walsh, 16, already has first-team and European experience. Attacker Ryan Kavuma-Mc Queen, 17, brings pace and power, having scored 13 goals last season for the youth teams.
