Marie Ngah Manga scored twice as Cameroon defeated Malawi 3-0 to claim their first-ever Women's Africa Cup of Nations title. The Indombable Lionesses, ranked 82 places above their opponents, dominated the final at Moulay Hassan Stadium. Ngah Manga opened the scoring after Grace Mendoua's header hit the bar, pouncing on the rebound. The second goal came from a well-worked corner, with Eto's first-time effort finding the bottom corner. The third was a team effort, with Eto beating the goalkeeper to cross for Ngah Manga's header into an empty net.

Valentine Nguele took charge as Cameroon coach in June, building a well-drilled side that upset Nigeria in the quarter-finals and beat host nation Morocco on penalties in the semi-finals. Michaely Bihina was the standout goalkeeper, pulling off crucial saves throughout the tournament. Cameroon's victory marks their first Wafcon crown after previous final defeats in 2004, 2014, and 2016, all against Nigeria.

Caf's decision to expand the tournament to 16 nations proved successful, allowing emerging teams to showcase their talent. Both Cameroon and Malawi will now prepare for next year's Women's World Cup alongside Morocco and Algeria.
