Yggstore : Stockage P2P chiffré sur Yggdrasil

Yggstore is a proof-of-concept for sharded, encrypted file storage between peers on the Yggdrasil overlay, requiring no VPN or central coordinator. Node IDs are derived from public keys, and nodes only respond to group members. Files are encrypted, split into 4 MiB chunks using AES-256-GCM with unique keys and nonces, then erasure-coded via Reed-Solomon into data and parity shards distributed across peers.

Storage challenges verify peers still hold assigned data. Users lend disk space; sending a sealed .ystub file shares the full file via key access. The system supports file history, versioning, and repair when nodes go offline.

It includes built-in messaging (direct and topic-based) and a local API for programs. No Yggdrasil daemon, TUN device, or root access is needed—nodes can run with embedded Yggdrasil. Websites can be hosted by publishing a folder served across multiple machines.

Email-like messaging uses an SMTP relay held by web nodes. Licensed under permissive terms; see LICENSE, CONTRIBUTING.md, and SECURITY.md. Experimental—cryptography not independently audited.

Do not rely as sole copy for irreplaceable data. Setup guides available for Windows users with second-hand mini PCs; a gateway offers paid S3-compatible access via rclone, Cyberduck, or Duplicati.
