Red Bull has confirmed the hiring of Tom Mc Cullough to replace Gianpiero Lambiase as head of racing. Lambiase will join Mc Laren in 2028 as chief racing officer. Mc Cullough, 50, brings extensive experience from Aston Martin through its Force India and Racing Point days, where he served as chief race engineer and performance director.

He began his career at chassis builder Reynard and also held roles at Sauber and Williams. As part of a 2025 restructuring at Aston Martin, his duties were taken over by Mike Krack. Mc Cullough is set to vacate his senior leadership role at Aston Martin Performance Technologies to join Red Bull at the beginning of 2027.

The Milton Keynes squad also confirmed that Tom Hart has decided against a move to Williams to take over the race engineer role starting in 2027.
