Red Bull has confirmed that Liam Lawson will replace the injured Isack Hadjar at this weekend's Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix. Hadjar sustained a wrist injury during summer shutdown that will prevent him from racing at Zandvoort, the track where he claimed his only F1 podium with third place for Racing Bulls during his impressive rookie campaign in 2025.

A Red Bull statement read: "Red Bull Racing driver Isack Hadjar has sustained a wrist injury during summer shutdown that will prevent him from racing at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix. We will be welcoming back Liam Lawson, who will replace him in RB22 this weekend. The team wishes Isack a speedy recovery and thanks Liam for stepping in on short notice."

Lawson will once again be Max Verstappen's teammate, having done so for the first two rounds of 2025 before being demoted back to Racing Bulls. The 24-year-old has impressed with Red Bull's sister squad this season, currently sitting ninth after 11 rounds with points in all but three grands prix.

As a result of the driver change, reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda will race for Racing Bulls in Zandvoort alongside Arvid Lindblad. Tsunoda, who has 111 grand prix starts, is understood to be in talks for an Indy Car drive at Meyer Shank Racing in 2027.
