OpenAI and Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) today announced the OpenAI x MHESI AI Accelerator in Bangkok, a new program supporting ten Thai startups across health, wellness, and education. The eight‑week initiative pairs founders with OpenAI mentors, provides US$2,000 in API credits, and offers access to cutting‑edge AI models. It also connects teams to NIA, Mahidol University, and Techsauce for funding, research, and growth.

Cohort members include CARIVA, Wello Food, Dietz, Precisionize, Fit Sloth, Curico, ins Kru, Floaino, Easy Kids Robotics, and Globish, many of whom emerged from the AIAT × OpenAI Codex Hackathon Bangkok earlier this year. The accelerator aims to move prototypes toward reliable, deployable products that address local needs such as aging healthcare demands and digital‑economy education, while emphasizing responsible AI, privacy, and scalable business models. Thailand's strong technical talent and rapid AI adoption—ranking in the global top 20 for ChatGPT and Codex usage—underscore the program’s relevance.

By the end of the program, each startup is expected to deliver a functional product, pilot results, or a significant upgrade, positioning them for broader impact and market entry.
