Japanese internet company CyberAgent has accelerated its AI adoption by implementing ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex across its advertising, media, and gaming businesses. The company positions AI as foundational technology rather than limited initiatives, establishing its AI Lab in 2016 and AI Operations Office in 2023 to build organizational frameworks for transformation.

CyberAgent chose ChatGPT Enterprise to address security concerns that were slowing adoption. Employees previously hesitated to input sensitive information into AI tools, creating inconsistent usage across departments. ChatGPT Enterprise provided enterprise-grade security, management features, and clear data handling policies that enabled confident daily use. The platform now reaches a 93% monthly active user rate across nearly all departments.

Beyond basic productivity tasks, Codex has expanded into upstream work like design discussions and code review. Teams use it to evaluate proposals from multiple perspectives, generate improvement suggestions, and build knowledge documentation. Non-developer roles are adopting Codex for writing specifications and creating mockups. The tool has proven valuable not just for speed but for improving decision quality, with users describing it as a reliable partner that supports the entire development process from design to implementation.
