The Winnipeg School Division has released updated registration procedures for the 2026-27 school year, streamlining enrollment for new and transferring students. Current students staying at the same school skip re-registration, while those moving to designated catchment schools receive automatic pre-registration based on address verification.

Online registration requires uploading proof of residency, student age documentation, and previous school records through the Find A School App. In-person registration involves document photocopying with immediate return. Students aged 18 and older can register independently without adult accompaniment.

Families gain access to diverse programming including French Immersion, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, and bilingual language tracks in Hebrew, Spanish, Punjabi, and Indigenous languages. Transportation services cover Kindergarten through Grade 6 students living beyond 1.6 km from catchment schools.

The division also maintains Winnipeg Adult Education Centre for students 19+ pursuing diplomas, post-secondary upgrades, or ESL courses. Schools of Choice applications closed for 2026/27, with specific schools excluding transfers. Contact [email protected] for registration guidance.
