Mitchell Hashimoto, co-founder of Hashi Corp, has launched a new company called Superlogical. The company aims to build a "multiplexer for all work," addressing the fragmentation of software development tools across local machines, remote hosts, services, and production systems.

Superlogical's vision is to create a unified layer that spans applications and environments, providing context, structured data, and history while remaining controllable by humans and driven by software. This layer will act as a durable session for work. The initial focus is on building an "incredible" terminal multiplexer, designed to be composable and safe for production use.

This terminal multiplexer will offer features like long-lived sessions accessible via web and native applications, seamless sharing, and improved user experience compared to existing tools. The team behind Superlogical includes Hashimoto, former Hashi Corp executives like Jack Pearkes, and design leaders such as Alasdair Monk and Hector Simpson, all with extensive experience in developer tooling and infrastructure.
