Mitchell Hashimoto, formerly of his first founded company, has announced the launch of his new venture, Superlogical. After taking time to focus on family and philanthropy since leaving his previous company in 2023, Hashimoto has continued his passion for building software, most notably with the open-source project Ghostty.

Ghostty, which began as a personal project, grew to millions of daily users and was donated to a non-profit in 2025 to ensure its public-benefit purpose. Hashimoto emphasizes that Ghostty remains a healthy, community-driven open-source project, independent of Superlogical.

Superlogical was born from Hashimoto's deep interest in the evolving role of terminal emulators.
