Jolla's independent Linux smartphone has surpassed 13,500 units sold across production batches, reviving the iconic 2013 design with modern hardware. The company secured its first 10,000 orders during Batch #3, marking strong community interest in an alternative to mainstream smartphones dominated by Google and Apple ecosystems.

Built around Sailfish OS 5, the device runs on a Mediatek Dimensity 7100 5G platform with either 8GB/128GB or 12GB/256GB configurations. A physical Privacy Switch lets users disable microphone, Bluetooth, and Android apps manually, addressing concerns about background data collection that plague typical Android phones sending megabytes daily to Google servers even when idle.

The batch sales model responds to volatile memory component pricing, locking configurations at 649€ per unit including VAT. Early batches include 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while later September shipments offer 8GB/128GB options. All purchases remain fully refundable during the manual processing period.

Initial shipping begins in early July 2026 for Batch #1 customers, with subsequent batches following through August. The phone supports global roaming including US carriers, though initial sales target EU, UK, Switzerland, and Norway markets only.
