Ferrari launched the Luce, its first fully electric car, built around four motors delivering 1,035bhp and a 330-mile range. Rather than follow the mid-engined EV formula that previous supercar EVs tried and failed to sell, Ferrari went with a five-seater hatchback and hired LoveFrom, Jony Ive's design agency, for the exterior and interior.

The Luce packs a 122kWh battery on an 800V architecture, weighs 2,260kg, and achieves 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds with a 192mph top speed. Ferrari claims 95% of components are new, the center of gravity sits 95mm lower than the Purosangue, and 75% of the body uses recycled aluminium. A new vehicle control unit processes 200 updates per second.

Reinventing the platform gave Ferrari room for five adults and a hatchback rear, while integrating the battery pack improved torsional rigidity. The car features rear-hinged doors, a flying bridge C-pillar, 24-inch rear wheels, and a striking spaceship-like silhouette designed to minimize drag. With torque vectoring on all four wheels and carbon ceramic brakes, the Luce proves Ferrari's EV bet is as much about engineering pragmatism as prestige.
