Kevin Rose, Digg's founder who launched the company in 2004, is returning to join the team full-time starting the first week of April. Rose will continue his role as an advisor to True Ventures but will make Digg his primary focus after more than twenty years away from the company he built. The team believes Rose's return is crucial for figuring out what Digg needs to become in its next iteration.

The announcement also confirms that Diggnation, the official Digg podcast, will continue recording monthly while the team works on what they're calling a 're-reboot' of the platform. This marks another pivot for the once-popular social news site as it attempts to find its place in today's digital landscape.
