LLM crawlers strain Codeberg servers with needless requests, degrading service for legitimate users. "Vibe coders" create resource-heavy ghost projects with single developers consuming more resources than large community projects.

Rising hardware costs widen the digital divide, threaten small operators, and increase civic infrastructure costs. LLMs undermine FOSS collaboration by generating unmaintained, single-use code, eroding trust between contributors.
