Arm announced the Arm AGI CPU, a production-ready silicon designed for agentic AI workloads. Built on the Arm Neoverse platform, it extends Arm’s offerings beyond IP and compute subsystems, giving customers flexibility in deployment. This marks Arm’s first foray into silicon products, aligning with the demand for scalable, efficient AI infrastructure.

The AGI CPU prioritizes rack-scale efficiency, delivering 272 cores per blade in a 1OU, 2-node design. Partners like Supermicro offer liquid-cooled configurations housing 336 CPUs for 45,000 cores. Arm claims 2x performance per rack compared to x86 systems, leveraging Neoverse V3 cores and optimized memory bandwidth to reduce core contention under sustained loads.

Meta, Cerebras, Cloudflare, and OpenAI are among early adopters, integrating the AGI CPU into accelerator management and orchestration systems. Arm is also contributing an Open Compute Project reference server design to standardize deployment, with plans to share firmware and diagnostic tools at the OCP EMEA Summit.

The launch signals Arm’s strategic shift toward data center silicon, supported by 50+ ecosystem partners. By addressing the CPU’s role as the pacing element in AI infrastructure, Arm aims to enable efficient, large-scale agentic systems while maintaining compatibility with its Neoverse CSS roadmap.
