Albedo's first satellite, Clarity-1, launched on March 14, 2025, validated VLEO operations and its in-house Precision bus. The satellite demonstrated a 12% better drag coefficient than modeled, enabling a five-year lifespan at 275 km. Its custom solar arrays withstood increasing atomic oxygen exposure, and the bus passed all subsystem checks. The cloud-native ground system automated complex tasks, while engineers executed 14 on-orbit software updates.

A CMG temperature spike forced a switch to magnetic torque rods for stabilization. Despite this, Clarity-1 captured 98% of its imaging pyramid and validated the core technology. The mission proves private capital can fund advanced orbital assets, paving the way for Albedo's next steps in commercial Earth observation.
