Hi HN - I'm Pablo, founder of Proliferate, an open-source, self-hostable AI IDE that works with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, and Grok in one workspace. Each task gets an isolated git worktree with its own terminal, conversation, and review state.

Proliferate emerged from my team's experience onboarding to OpenAI Codex. Within days, we used it for everything: computer use, agent coordination, and recurring automations. A Codex-like app with a beautiful UI seems poised to become every company's main work interface.

As we automated more business-critical work, I wanted to work with agents from all labs, including open-weight models, without becoming overly dependent on OpenAI. Proliferate provides optionality across agents and model providers while building toward Codex's breadth.

Today, Proliferate supports native harnesses for multiple agents, inter-agent communication (parent agents spawning subagents), and reusable workflows with human approval gates. All code is 100% open source under AGPL-3.0 with rough edges but rapid development. Feedback welcome!
