Prime Video has released the first full trailer for its upcoming Carrie miniseries, directed by Mike Flanagan. The show, based on Stephen King's 1974 novel, reimagines the classic horror story over six episodes. Flanagan, known for his Netflix series like The Haunting of Hill House, promises a fresh take that expands the original narrative.

At San Diego Comic-Con, Flanagan explained his approach: "Carrie was written half a century ago, and adapted spectacularly by Brian De Palma. It's iconic and untouchable. But the world has changed, and I think people will be surprised by what we've done." The trailer hints at a deeper exploration of Carrie's character and the social pressures she faces.

The cast includes Summer H. Howell as Carrie, Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross, Amber Midthunder as Rita Desjardin, Arthur Conti as Billy Nolan, and Josie Totah as Tina Blake. Thalia Dudek plays Emaline, a new character created for the series.
