Apple has raised the base price of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max by $100 compared to the iPhone 17 Pro models, but storage upgrades cost even more. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 for 256GB, while the iPhone 17 Pro started at $1,099. A 512GB model now costs $1,399, a $200 increase, and the 1TB version is priced at $1,799, a $300 jump from the previous $1,499. Additionally, a new 2TB option is available for $2,399.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max sees similar increases. Its 1TB model costs $1,899, up from $1,599, and the new 2TB option is $2,499, a $500 increase over the previous max. These price hikes are attributed to soaring storage and memory costs due to ongoing supply shortages, making the higher-tier models significantly more expensive.

Despite the price increases, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to feature a design largely similar to the iPhone 17 Pro, with incremental internal improvements. Major changes are anticipated only next year, when Apple is rumored to introduce a radically redesigned 20th-anniversary iPhone.

Apple is set to unveil the new models at an event on Wednesday, September 9, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The event is also expected to showcase other products, including a new Apple Watch, though details remain under wraps.
