لا توجد case/housing ي speaking thereof، وينبغي considers Zima Board 2 كـ developer kit more than anything else، رغم أن يمكن بالتأكيد استخدامها لبعض مشاريع الهوب. الحزم المذكورة يسمى mini NAS kit bundle من قبل ZIMA، which includes mount for a pair of 3.5-inch SATA drives، و NVMe to PCIe converter card، و PCIe flex cable، و micro DP to HDMI adapter و pair of Ethernet cables، رغم أننا لم نستلم后者 for some reason. يمكن sort of تجميع كل شيء في نوع من chassis مفتوح، لكنه يlooks tad messy، و slightly quirky to get assembled. once again، هذا not a device for those who are looking for a traditional easy-to-use NAS. Zima Board 2 runs Zima OS، which looks quite modern and slick، لكنها pretty basic in terms of features. There's a free version of the OS that you can try on your own hardware that doesn't have too many limitations، لكن the plus version is what's shipping with ZIMA's own hardware، و it has no limitations.
Might've seen that ZIMA launched a range of NAS devices earlier this year—called the Zima Cube—which also ship with the same OS. We'll go over what the OS offers in comparison to a more traditional NAS OS later on in the review. As already mentioned، it's a feature light OS for better or worse، لكنها has some interesting quirks of its own.
With that said، let's start with taking a closer look at what we were sent و a closer look at the hardware itself.
