Hull KR head coach Willie Peters explained his decision to drop Mikey Lewis for Saturday's game against Toulouse ahead of the half-back's upcoming two-match ban.

Lewis received a Grade C charge for dangerous contact with Warrington Wolves' Ewan Irwin during their round two fixture, with Irwin now facing injury concerns after scans.

The ban comes as the 25-year-old returned from a previous four-match suspension for headbutting Warrington. Tevita Pangai Jr also faces a four-match ban following multiple citations during the same match.

Peters emphasized that the decision was about upholding club standards, stating that players must face consequences for repeated behavioral issues regardless of their status. He noted Hull KR are the most charged team in the competition and stressed the importance of accountability moving forward.
