NBA Milestone & Injury Updates
LeBron James was confirmed available for the Lakers' critical Thursday night matchup against the Miami Heat, positioning the superstar to tie Robert Parish’s all-time record for most games played in NBA history. Before tip-off, Hall of Famer Parish publicly stated James is entirely "deserving" of surpassing the mark, which James subsequently achieved, reaching 1,611 career appearances. Meanwhile, significant injury news emerged from the Eastern Conference: Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell sat out their contest versus the Chicago Bulls due to a bruised left eye, complicating the playoff push for the Cavs. Furthermore, the Brooklyn Nets will face a prolonged absence from forward Michael Porter Jr., sidelined for an estimated two to three weeks with a strained left hamstring, potentially costing the team their leading scorer for the season's remainder.
