The Nintendo Switch emulator suyu, a fork of the previously deprecated Yuzu, released version 0.0.4 featuring a significant performance boost. Developers introduced a recompiler mode that uses ahead-of-time static recompilation to translate Switch AArch64 binary game code into native x86-64 executables. This innovation reportedly offers substantial speed improvements over traditional hardware-level emulation modes.

Both recompiler and traditional emulation options are now available for users. However, this release signifies the end of active development for the emulator. The GitHub repository has been archived, mirroring the fate of previous Nintendo Switch emulators Yuzu and Ryujinx.

These projects were shut down due to pressure and legal notices from Nintendo's headquarters in Japan. In a final effort, the development team pushed out this performance update before archiving the codebase, delivering the enhancement to users as a last contribution before the project's conclusion.
