Lamine Yamal was sensational with two goals, while Fermin Lopez scored and created chances. Kylian Mbappe's poor penalty in stoppage time cost Real Madrid all three points in Seville. Jose Mourinho's side were wasteful, squandering five big chances before being punished by Troy Parrott, who fired in on the rebound on his home debut. Parrott, once given his Premier League debut by Mourinho at Tottenham, was emotional at the final whistle. Mourinho accused Betis of cynicism and complained about his side's naivety.
