Miami Heat guard Pelle Larsson has agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract extension with a mutual option for the 2030-31 season, avoiding restricted free agency next summer. Larsson, a second-round find in the 2024 draft, has become a foundation player for Miami amid their offseason overhaul. The 60-5 guard averaged 11.4 points per game last season, nearly seven points more than his rookie year, and ranked fourth in offensive efficiency and fifth in minutes played.

He started 54 of 70 games and ranked in the top 10 in charges drawn. Miami's biggest offseason splash was acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo in a trade that sent Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr. back to Milwaukee. The Heat also signed free agent Klay Thompson after he cleared waivers following a buyout with the Dallas Mavericks.

Miami looks to return to the postseason after missing the playoffs last season for the first time in seven seasons.
