A'ja Wilson received a technical foul after confronting a fan at Gainbridge Fieldhouse during the Las Vegas Aces' 99-89 loss to the Indiana Fever in Game 2 of their first-round series. The incident occurred with just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter after a foul was called on Sophie Cunningham. Wilson stepped toward the fan and said, "You don't point at me, you don't point at me." Teammates Cheyenne Parker-Tyus, Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young and Kierstan Bell intervened to separate Wilson from the fan. The fan was escorted out but later allowed back after security determined no Fan Code of Conduct violation occurred.

In her postgame news conference, Wilson called the fan's actions "unacceptable" and said, "You don't know me at all... But I guarantee you will respect me." She apologized to teammates for the technical but added, "it's just certain things that I'm not going to allow anymore." Wilson also commented, "No way he does that to Le Bron [James]."

Aces coach Becky Hammon said she didn't see the full incident but noted, "I've never seen A'ja Wilson go like that. So whatever was done, I can tell you she felt very disrespected." Hammon added that "there's rules and procedures" that both players and fans must follow. A WNBA spokesperson confirmed the incident would be reviewed. Game 3 of the series is Thursday in Las Vegas.
